A new Board of Directors is taking office at ABIMED, starting in January 2024. The transition ceremony took place during the organization’s Annual Meeting on December 6th in São Paulo. The previous chairman, Antônio Nasser, General Manager of Baxter International Corp., thanked his colleagues for their work during his two years in office.

At the beginning of the period, he recalled, the organization listened to its members to identify the sector’s struggles and focus its actions on these demands. “We found that the three main ones were: Ethics and Compliance, in which we have made very robust progress; the Tax Reform and its impacts, a topic in which we work tirelessly; and Market Intelligence, in which we demand greater participation from our members.”

He welcomed Patrícia Frossard, the first woman to occupy the post of chairwoman of the Board of Directors, who will serve for the 2024-2025 biennium. Nasser highlighted her brilliant performance as vice-chairwoman. Country Manager of Philips do Brasil and Head of Legal & Compliance LATAM, Patrícia emphasized the importance of the entire membership for the entity to continue to stand out. “I’m very grateful to be in this position. I believe that ABIMED’s role includes exploring the most out of our opportunities, so we can show that Brazil is a good place to invest,” the chairwoman declared.
