We celebrate the successful approval of PEC 45/2009 at the House of Representatives, wich will follow to a new aproval at the Senate. ABIMED, together with the main entities representing the Brazilian Health Sector, worked hard with the legislators in order to confirm the recognition the esentiality of such Sector in all its productive chain, by  establishing special tax rates, allowing to permit to all brazilian citizens, a better access to Health Care.

Despite what has already been achieved, ABIMED will continue to pursuit the maintenance of such special tax rates for the Health Sector, reflected in ordinary legislation to be approved in the course of the PEC’s approval process, aiming to allign Brazil with others OCDE Nations’ standards, bringing business costs reductions, positive legal environment and confirming the essentiality of the Health Sector as one of the pillars for the resumption of economic growth in our Nation.
