On October 18th and 19th, ABIMED will take part in the 12th National Congress of Private Hospitals (Conahp), whose theme is “Pessoas que transformam a saúde” (People who transform health). The event focuses on topics such as innovation and technology, public-private partnerships and new strategies for supplementary health. Aware that the transformation of healthcare involves people – from the front line to senior management – the organizers decided to highlight this role in the 2023 edition.
For Fernando Silveira, executive president of ABIMED, “Conahp contributes to the development of health as a whole and this year won’t be different. The topic is very timely and ABIMED’s participation strengthens its vision of the importance of technology in expanding the population’s access to medical treatments and contributes to facing the sector’s challenges in post-pandemic.” In addition to health professionals, the event is also aimed at people who work in other sectors, but who identify the segment as a trendsetter.
The debates took place around three thematic axes. “Supplementary Health” will analyze the structural changes necessary for its sustainability, including legislation, the marketing model and the management of beneficiaries. Digital transformation will be the focus of the “Technology and Innovation” axis, addressing challenges such as viability and data security. “Public-Private Engagement” represents the third axis, in the search for solutions that optimize the population’s access to medical services, strengthening the Unified Health System (SUS).
Conahp has become a benchmark event, bringing together the supplementary and governmental sectors. It also promotes wide-ranging discussions about the structure of the health system and the paths of innovation, technology and sustainability. This year, one of the modules will focus on the importance of ESG for healthcare companies, highlighting some initiatives, while another will deal specifically with Artificial Intelligence, analyzing how the segment has benefited from advances in the diagnosis, treatment and monitoring of patients.
Conahp 2023 will take place at the Transamerica Expo Center in São Paulo (SP). More information: www.conahp.org.br/2023/
